Paper racing

1–8 players · 4 min

Like at school on squared paper. The car repeats its last move by itself, and a button changes it by one cell: with the move — faster, against it — brake, sideways — drift. 9 buttons, everyone moves at the same time.

How it works

  • The dashed box ahead of the car is where it goes by itself; the centre button means "same move", right into the box.
  • Your path crosses the track edge — crash: you stop, speed zero, speed up again. Red buttons lead over the edge.
  • No choice in time — you keep your move. You may drive over each other. First to the finish wins; the rest — by who is closer to the finish.

Tips

  • Brake early: speed drops one cell per turn. Pressed sideways — the drift stays until you cancel it with the opposite button.
  • Bends are rounded: the inside line is shorter.
